Posted by mohawk on
September 25, 2008
This Saturday, September 27th, marks the Seattle premier of Ride The Sky. The video has been well received in the skate community so far and has even been hailed as one of the biggest releases of the year - even though the video itself hasn’t hit store shelves!
That evening there will be two separate showings of the movie. One, an all ages show at 35th North on Capitol Hill and another 21+ showing of it at the Central Saloon. Please note that while the showing is free at 35th North, it costs $10 at the Central Saloon which will serve as a donation for Seattle’s DYI Skatepark Marginal Way. Hope to see you at one of the premiers.
Central Saloon - 9PM - $10 - 21+
35th North - 7PM - Free - All Ages

KR3W NS

Kr3w Apparel has expanded outside of the skateboarding market and has tapped into the fashion industry with their brand new NS line. Short for ‘Non Skate,’ the NS line features more sophistication and fashion-centric goods, as well as less logo placements on their garments. We’ve just received several pieces from the Fall NS line and they look amazing. The line is sold only in our Flagship store at this time.

5th Annual Seattle Snowboard Movie Premier

September 22, 2008
aaaaaaaaaah The Showbox, a place we’ve all grown to know and love. The best place to see a Seattle concert and the home of the 5th Annual Seattle Snowbord Movie Premier.

For 99.9% of seattle it was a September night just like any other but for the rest of us it was the night of all nights, when Mack Dawg rolls out their latest concoction of snowsliding, witty audio commentary, beers and good times.
Life as a Movie Premier

September 21, 2008
Surfers, skaters, snowboarders, boys, girls, and dogs from around the Northwest gathered Friday night to welcome Benji Weatherly and his new film, Life as a Movie, to Seattle. Five bucks got you in the door at evo for a chance to see the crossover boardsport movie and win some rad prizes. It also contributed to the growing feelings of general excitment for the coming winter. Oh, and free beer.

The floor was cleared, the screen pulled down, and people started to trickle in. The beer tent was definitely the main attraction until Weatherly introduced the movie and shed some light on his motivation for the project. Just before pressing play, he tossed out free gear and politely asked for a show of hands to see who actually wore a size 9 shoe before randomly throwing a pair into the crowd. Everyone was stoked (probably not as stoked as the tall kid who won the hoodie) and the movie only added fuel to fire.
