Ride’s Snowboard Art 7 opening reception was everything and more than we could have hoped for. Is it even possible to have more fun with art, beers, crazy road trippin’ design students from Montana and Ride than we did on February 7, 2009???! Pssssh, i can’t imagine so, but i guess we will find out next year!
For the opening night reception we had quite a few more people come down than we had expected. With the Legendary Banked Slalom taking place this weekend i knew we’d lose a lot of our regular attendees, and with us being in a recession and all, we weren’t sure what to expect! Well we found out recession or not, that people want their art and love Pyramid kegs…and how can we forget DJ Mullet!!! So we had a perfect turnout and we even had a group of design students drive all the way from Montana to come receive some awards. Apollo, one of our Top 30 flew in From New Jersey and Steve from Portland came in for the event! Lots of out of towners mixed in with some regular faces…was a good time.
Also we want to give a shout out to everyone who entered a graphic, we saw a lot of talent in the top 30 and i can’t imagine how difficult it was for the judges to narrow it down to a single winner! its really cool to be a part of an event like this and be amongst so much talent, thanks Ride!
