evo Team | Happy Birthday Austen Sweetin!

A boy becomes a man. Happy Birthday Austen! The following is written lovingly by evo team manager Shal-Bot

evo’s youngest team member Austen L. Sweetin was born yesterday in 1991. Austen is the son of two avid skiers, and like most skiing families it wasn’t long before young “Ten” was hitting the slopes.

Over the constricting one-piece adorn for so many years, the lure snowboarding’s free spirit caught his eye. After begging and begging his parents, they finally got him his first board.

Marti, Austen’s mom recalls the first thing Austen did was headed straight at a jump full speed. Things didn’t go so well so quick for Austen, he went too big and landed on his head. But Austen has kept with it and has been going big ever since. Considered to be one of the top snowboarders in his age throughout the world, he was recently he placed ahead Shaun White in Transworld Business’ monthly exposure meter. Quite the accomplishment really.

Austen works his ass off as an up and coming shredder. He out-hikes and out-jumps every kid his age and because of this he gets invited to several exclusive photo shoots. He is currently in Keystone, Colorado on a photo shoot with Snowboarder Magazine and Nike 6.0 for 8 of his 150 days a year on hill. Although snowboarding, sleeping, honey buns and pop tarts take up most of lil’ Austen’s time he still finds time to ski every once in a while, as seen here.

He is actually great skier, better than me even… It got me wondering how could he be so good… so I hired a private detective and he was able to snag this picture of Austen training during the summer.

Besides being a closet rollerblader, Austen is a senior at Shorewood high school where he has only two classes, Movie Genres and Video Production… Rough life! Here is Austen with his homecoming date from this past fall… Notice the fact she had to take her shoes off.

In addition to turn 18 today, Austen’s dirt lip can finally be called a mustache. Funny fact to go along with this is Austen’s mustache also turn 18 today.
