We’re celebrating the birth of a Momma’s boy

When Steve was born 28 years ago today, his bones were not fully developed. (Gross.) After the initial shock and horror passed, his older brother Dave eventually learned to love him and even supported his limp body for a photo.
As Steve’s bones hardened, his heart softened and his affinity for snowsports deepened. The only thing Steve loves more than a smothery hug is red meat, and the only thing Steve loves more than barbecuing red meat is hucking cliffs and shredding massive amounts of superfreshiegnargnarpowpow. He goes big. Sometimes too big. But even when he overshoots the landing by 60 feet or more, he still loves it.
Here’s Steve hitting a booter in the Alpie BC. At least he says it’s him. Oh yeah, Steve also likes alcohol. After consuming his typical nightcap (three Jager bombs and a six pack), he’ll often revert to a childish state, believing that giggling, pointing and grunting serve as a form of communication and attempting to melt back into the comfort of his first few years without bone structure.
Above all, though, Steve is classy, on and off the hill. He has more yellow jackets than you’d find in Curious George’s owner’s closet and refuses to wear long pants between the months of February and December. And he just bought his first suit in preparation for wedding season - nice one! He found it at Goodwill between an old Santa suit and a bin full of “unused” boxers. The blues of the jacket and pants don’t really match, but nobody will notice. Just don’t tell Ashlee…
Happy Birthday Steve!
