Masterminds Behind RIDE Shakedown Bring International Event to Washington’s Summit at Snoqualmie
Seattle, September 23, 2009 – One of the North America’s top snowboard events, the Ride Shakedown, is crossing the border for its U.S. debut this winter. More than 40 of the world’s top pro men and women snowboarders and 80 ams will bring their A-game to the Pacific Northwest to compete for a $35,000 purse and connect with their fans. March 12-13, 2010.
The RIDE Shakedown, held at Mont-Saint-Sauveur, Quebec, during the past eight winters, is one of the snowboard industry’s most exciting and anticipated competitions, drawing the biggest names in snowboarding and more than 20,000 fans to the two-day festival. The inaugural U.S. edition of the RIDE Shakedown big air and rail competition will be held in the Cascade Mountains at the base of Summit at Snoqualmie located 45 miles east of Seattle. It will be followed April 2-3 in Quebec with the 9th Canadian edition of the event.

It is a national competition with prelims occuring in San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, San Francisco, New York, and Vancouver, and with one special invited guest crew. The finals will be taking place in Seattle at Magnuson Park Community Center on September 18th and 19th, 2009.

BOW, WA. (August 4, 2009) – The 3rd Annual Pro Team Challenge wakeboard competition presented by Monster Energy Drink and Malibu Boats took place Sunday, August 3rd at the Bow Lake Watersports Complex just North of Seattle, Washington. The site was beautiful and the weather was epic as two of the sports premiere teams got set to battle head-to-head for a chance to take home the Malibu Cup Trophy and bragging rights as the best team in wakeboarding for the next 12 months.

Pro Wakeboard Team Challenge
Returns to Pacific Northwest
BOW, WA. (July 22, 2009) – The 3rd Annual Pro Team Challenge wakeboard competition is returning to the Pacific Northwest. The three-part competition will feature some of the top pro riders in the world riding for their prospective board manufacturers, a chance to add their names to the Malibu Cup PTC trophy and bragging rights as the best team in wakeboarding for the next 12 months.

Its a treasure hunt without all the booby traps and scurvy! Tomorrow Ride will be giving away a pair of their NRC bindings in Seattle somewhere. All you have to do is follow Ride on Twitter. They’ll announce on Twitter when and where to be to meet Zach, the Ride intern. It’s time again for the 6th annual Surfing and Traditions event at La Push, WA over the 4th of July weekend. The contest is an expression session featuring all kinds of catergories and buffoonery with lots of great prizes to be had including a snowboard, wetsuit, and surfboard.
