On the 17th, Seattle Greendrinks together with Lazy River Winery (a personal favorite) and Theo Chocolates hosted a casual event in the evo art gallery, TimesInfinity, with the band Slow Skate providing music. Gabriel and Nur from Seattle Greendrinks pulled together a fantastic marriage of quality chocolate, wine, art, music and people. For all of you (i.e., all of us) with an interest in sustainability, climate change and renewable energy, Greendrinks (http://tinyurl.com/5jcxa6) is a great way to get your foot in the door and figure out what you can do to get involved.

It is a national competition with prelims occuring in San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, San Francisco, New York, and Vancouver, and with one special invited guest crew. The finals will be taking place in Seattle at Magnuson Park Community Center on September 18th and 19th, 2009.

The date is set for the Seattle stop of Matchstick Productions’ latest film In Deep. Thursday night, Oct 1st Matchstick will bring the last winter’s highlights to the screen of the King Kat Theater. Doors will open at 7 and the movie is to begin at 8. Tickets will be available at evo beginning in August for $15. Keep checking back for updates and chances to win tickets.
