evo will be hosting a kick off party for all the attendees of this years P.C.C.C. to raise awareness and provide insight into the amazing journey the group is about to embark on. We invite you and all your friends, snow sport enthusiasts or not, to join us for a beer in celebration of 3 amazing individuals and the crew riding their bikes from Seattle to San Diego raising money and awareness for their funds. Thursday, September 17, 2009 – The boys at Absinthe came to town with two goals in mind: to create some good ol’ snowboard stoke amidst the lingering summer swelter, and to raise awareness and support for environmental non-profits targeted at preventing global climate change. And it’s safe to say that from the opening scene to the last shot on screen, Absinthe’s “Neverland” delivered on both fronts in a big way.

Have you ever been curious about what it’s like behind the scenes at one of your favorite companies? As a content writing intern I spend most of my day sitting at my desk in front of a computer screen reading and researching descriptions about products and brands. I can only learn so much about a product and the mission statement behind the brand from reading catalogs and browsing dealer websites; the opportunity for interface with the product–getting to touch, feel and maybe even sneak a little whiff–is unfortunately a bit more rare. For the month of August we will be featuring works by the talented youth from across Seattle who attend The Sanctuary Art Center. Its pretty incredible to see the passion and dedication put forth by these kids and the commitment from the people who support the organization and who believe in them. The Skateboard Film Festival is a collaborative effort by some of the industry’s most respected entrepreneurs, filmmakers, photographers, and skateboarders. It was brought about to promote independent film making in the skateboard community at large. It is open to the entire public by way of video submissions, and there will be several categories by which each film maker can submit his or her video short or full-length movie. Videos are carefully selected by a panel of judges and some 40-60 will be shown during the film festival weekend.
In a nutshell, The Skateboard Film Festival’s seeks to celebrate skateboarding and skateboard filmmaking.
