October 1, 2009 - With a fresh dusting of snow in the mountains and the 09/10 riding season peeking over the horizon, Seattle got a little stoke for the upcoming winter months. Thursday, Oct 1 MSP premiered its latest masterpiece, In Deep, hosted by the King Cat Theater downtown. Red Bull made sure all the teenagers were sufficiently caffeinated, beers and other social lubricants were flowing steady and moods were high.
evo will be hosting a kick off party for all the attendees of this years P.C.C.C. to raise awareness and provide insight into the amazing journey the group is about to embark on. We invite you and all your friends, snow sport enthusiasts or not, to join us for a beer in celebration of 3 amazing individuals and the crew riding their bikes from Seattle to San Diego raising money and awareness for their funds. This special happy hour will be held prior to the MSP movie In Deep playing at the King Kat Theater later that night where the celebration will continue. Read the rest of this entry »

Not even a bluebird turned puking day could bring down this event. Tons of skiers showed up and threw down a nod to their freestyle roots, walking away with tons of shwag and bragging rights. Organizer and evo employee Chris Shalbot worked the megaphone during the event, calling out challenges to the entrants and handing out prizes.

Things started off well in Tamarack Idaho. Vibes were beyond good when I met up with Ben Moxham and PBP Filmer (and my good friend) Ross Reid. The first day we woke to thick fog and damp conditions, but as we ascended the final chair to the top of Tamarack, we broke through the clouds into perfect bluebird! The snow up top was very good, despite not being deep or fresh, but we were able to find some amazing stashes and get some good shots. Tamarack is Moxham’s home stomping grounds, so he had it on lock down, and pretty much every run was spent hiking out of bounds along the North Bowls where we would drop into untouched bowls and ridges with countless spines, cliffs, and pillows. The natural terrain here is so amazing and I was so excited, right up my ally, I love natural playgrounds.
aaaaaaaaaah The Showbox, a place we’ve all grown to know and love. The best place to see a Seattle concert and the home of the 5th Annual Seattle Snowbord Movie Premier.
For 99.9% of seattle it was a September night just like any other but for the rest of us it was the night of all nights, when Mack Dawg rolls out their latest concoction of snowsliding, witty audio commentary, beers and good times.
