This was not your typical ski movie premiere…

Imagine an evening where you are dared to challenge yourself in hand stand and pogo sticking competitions, swag giveaways hit you in the head, and you get to see the first public showing of Rage Productions’ “Down Days” documentary about big-mountain skiing in AK. But that’s not it: The party is emceed by pro skier Lynsey Dyer and proceeds go to her nonprofit, SheJumps, which inspires girls and women to participate in outdoor activities through mentorship and coaching from professional and recreational outdoor female athletes.

2 years ago, pro skier Linsey Dyer and Vanessa Pierce noted the lack of community for women who immersed themselves in outdoor sports. There was no real family, no sens of team. It was just an idea, which turned into a blog, which recently turned into a nonproft organization. SheJumps strives to”increase participation of women in outdoor activities through mentorship and coaching from professional and recreational outdoor female athletes.”
