October 1, 2009 - With a fresh dusting of snow in the mountains and the 09/10 riding season peeking over the horizon, Seattle got a little stoke for the upcoming winter months. Thursday, Oct 1 MSP premiered its latest masterpiece, In Deep, hosted by the King Cat Theater downtown. Red Bull made sure all the teenagers were sufficiently caffeinated, beers and other social lubricants were flowing steady and moods were high.
Mark your calendars! Thursday night, Oct 1st Matchstick will bring the last winter’s highlights to the screen of the King Kat Theater. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the movie is to begin at 8. Saturday, September 12, 2009 - Although Seattle may still be setting toasty weather records, the King Cat Theater welcomed in winter with tall tees, beanies and the world premiere of the Triple Threat Tour including “Contrast” by Nimbus and “Everyday is a Saturday” by Poor Boyz Productions.
So we are barely just teetering over that year mark and i myself often wonder if we’ll ever stop?!! Probably not! if you’ve been into the shop lately you’ll notice all the crazy changes! If you’ve made it out to one of the premiers this fall, you know that they just get bigger and better!
October 28, 2006 - Triple Threat 2.0 landed at evo. Featuring films from Poor Boys Productions, Theory 3 Media and The Bigger Picture, we had a house full of freaks!!! Being halloween weekend how could we not host a costume party right?! Indiana Jones, Waldo, Wolverine and Storm, the whole Mortal Combat posse and those queer boys from a Night at The Roxburry even made a cameo at our little premier. They hosted a little costume contest and “Goro” from Mortal Kombat ended up sweepin’ up the competition but i really think that Waldo should’ve been in the running!
A couple pros came down, to name a few Tanner Hall was holdin’ down VIP and CR Johnson was rockin’ the mic as MC all ngiht long.
The movies were pretty sick, the free beer was flowing and the giveaways were pretty rad…. CR spent a good couple minutes tossing out bags full of swag and K2 threw down and gave a way a couple pairs of skis for the raffles, Whistler Blackcomb gave out some passes and people were happy. COme the end of the night, kids were running a muck and the party made its way down to Nectar for the after party….
